You wanna see some sheep? They are all over my Facebook.
I’ve had quite a bit of fun reading Facebook lately. “Police aren’t here to protect us, they’re here for social control!” Baah. “If you think casey anthony is a horrible person you should see what our current presidents have been up to..”, Baah baah. “The reason being that we, as Americans, still have too much to lose to do anything like revolt against an ever more corrupt government. We still have a pretty comfy setup where we can still buy our Android phones and LED tv’s. When we have nothing to lose . . that’s when it begins.” Baah baah BAAH baah baah.
Here it is – YOU ARE ALL BEING CONTROLLED.
A million and one whiny emo teenagers just shouted: “You’re not the boss of me! NOBODY is the boss of me!” Hah! When The Man wants to send you all to your corner for a ‘time-out’, all he has to do is put up a sign reading ‘No Loitering’ and you’ll fight each other for the privilege of standing there. YOU ARE BEING CONTROLLED.
You are willingly throwing away the only (imperfect) weapon you have to fight with. Do you really think any revolt would stand a chance against the government? Against Wall Street? Would it even stand a chance against McDonald’s?
Never mind that all that bluster is just one big motherfucking cop-out. It feels good to complain! As long as we don’t have to do anything because ‘the conditions aren’t right’.
Just ask who benefits from this. This turning away from the only lousy, rotten tool we have to affect any positive change. This ‘Nirvana Fallacy’ on a grand scale.
I’ll give you a hint – it is the REAL enemy of America.
